Meet Your Consultant – Gillian Anye
Hi there, I am Gillian Anye. I am originally from Cameroon in Central Africa and moved to the United States in 2017. I gained my Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting with a Minor in International Business and a certificate in Business Analytics. I am also a QuickBooks Pro-advisor.
In 2019, I started an online hair business called Gancy Fame. The goal was to learn how to make my own wigs and not have to pay anyone to do my hair. Others saw my hair and liked it, wanted me to make some for them and I made some extra cash. I used this as a side hustle to make extra income to pay for my final year of college. I faced so many difficulties like marketing and running the business. I focused so much on learning how to make the wigs and forgot that running the business is equally important.
I don’t want other small businesses to start or fail due to difficulties like the ones I faced. I work at a bookkeeping/accounting firm in Minneapolis with small businesses. I realized that there is much value that I can offer to other entrepreneurs like myself. It’s my goal to help business owners start and run their businesses smoothly while trusting that as they work in their businesses, we manage the financials and guide them to make better business decisions.
